We need to make sure everyone votes in the upcoming Sept. 18 primary.
One way to make sure that the little things that can come up on election day (traffic, a flat tire, delays at work) don't prevent you from casting your vote is to take advantage of Hawaii's permanent absentee ballot program. To request your permanent absentee ballot, click here.
Also encourage your friends, family members, co-workers and neighbors to also vote by mail.
We are expecting some nasty campaign material in the next few weeks and early voting weakens the impact of last-minute negative tactics.
